报告摘要
The quark model has been applied very successfully in describing the mesonsand baryons and their properties. It is known that all the establishedmesons are made of a quark and an antiquark, while baryons are composed ofthree quarks. In principle, hadrons composed with more than three valencequarks are not prohibited by the fundamental theory of strong interactions,namely the so-called QCD. In this talk I'll examine the status of themulti-quark hadrons, including tetraquark mesons, pentquark baryons andhexaquark mesons. We also explain why the quark model often encounters agreat challenge in understanding scalar mesons.
报告人简介
郑海扬，台湾中央研究院物理研究所特聘研究员，1971年本科毕业于成功大学物理系，1973年获得台湾“清华大学”物理学硕士学位，1980年获得美国普渡大学物理学博士学位。1980至1985期间，在美国普渡大学和布兰迪斯大学从事博士后研究。1988年任台湾中央研究院全职研究员，2012年起任特聘研究员。先后在普渡大学、印第安纳大学、纽约州立大学石溪分校、布鲁克海汶国家实验室任访问教授。曾任中央研究院物理所副所长，布鲁克海汶国家实验室合作研究员，台湾高能物理实验筹委会主席，台湾“国科会”自然科学处审议委员、顾问委员。郑海扬研究员多年来一直致力于重味物理(兼涉强子物理)领域的学术研究，在重味介子和重味重子的两体、三体衰变方面做了许多先驱性的工作，在国际上享有盛誉。迄今为止，在Phys.Rept.、Phys.Rev.Lett.、Phys.Rev.D、Phys.Lett.B、Eur.Phys.J C、J High Energy Phys.、Ann.Rev.Nucl.Part.Sci.等主流期刊发表专业学术论文190篇，SCI H因子54，引用近10000次，单篇引用超250次以上文章8篇。曾获得普渡大学G. W. Tautfest Memorial Award、印第安纳大学Chester Davis Fellowship、美国物理学会杰出审稿人奖，多次获得台湾“国科会”杰出研究奖、特约研究员奖、台湾“教育部”学术研究奖。
